ANZ Virtual ("we", "us", "our") is a community-driven virtual airline. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information when you use our website and Flight Operations Center (FOC).

When you register and use the FOC

  • Your name and callsign as provided to vAMSYS
  • Your vAMSYS pilot ID and rank
  • Flight records (PIREPs) including routes, flight times and performance data
  • Your Discord username and Discord ID if you choose to link your account

When you visit our website

  • Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited)
  • No tracking cookies are set without your consent

How We Use Your Information

  • To operate and display your pilot profile, logbook and statistics in the FOC
  • To assign Discord roles based on your rank and activity
  • To send Discord notifications about promotions, competitions and announcements
  • To calculate leaderboards, Pilots of the Month and other community features
  • To moderate the Discord server and maintain community standards

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with the following third parties solely to operate our services:

  • vAMSYS — our virtual airline management platform, which processes your pilot records
  • Discord — for community communication and role management
  • VATSIM / IVAO — for ATC and flight tracking data

Data Retention

Your pilot data is retained for as long as your account is active with ANZ Virtual. If you leave the virtual airline, your data will be removed from our systems within 30 days of your departure being processed in vAMSYS.

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to processing of your data

Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data. Access to the FOC requires authentication via vAMSYS OAuth. Discord account linking is optional and can be removed at any time from your profile page.
